Anise I'zak was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight in the middle of the Clone Wars. Anise sported cropped, blonde hair, freckles on her cheeks, and a green-bladed lightsaber. Shortly after her commission as a Jedi Knight, Anise was assigned to join General Ki-Adi-Mundi and Aayla Secura on the planet of Hitaka. There, the Jedi Masters gave Anise one of her first missions - to deliver an important canister to the Republic forces on the opposite side of the battlefield. Unbeknownst to Anise, her mission was merely a decoy as Ki-Adi-Mundi and Aayla Secura allowed information regarding Anise's mission to be leaked to CIS forces. The Jedi Masters hoped the Separatist forces would be sufficiently distracted in order to allow them to complete the Republic's true mission on Hitaka.

The strategy worked as Anise attracted battledroids, super battledroids, and droidekas, which chased her through the forests and plains of Hitaka. During the chase, Anise proved her worthiness as a Jedi dispatching many battledroids during her journey. Her mission even brought her into contact with the natives of Hitaka as her battle with Separatist forces spilled into the natives' own home. Sadly, the natives' home was destroyed during the battle along with the canister Anise was assigned to deliver.

Finally reaching the Republic base, Anise was ashamed to have failed in her mission allowing the canister to be destroyed. However, upon reaching the base, Anise was surprised to see that Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi and Aayla Secura had arrived before her. The Jedi Masters explained that the canister was meaningless and Anise's true role was to distract the CIS forces allowing the Jedi to complete the true mission. Ironically, even the Republic's mission was nothing more than a distraction, assigned by Palpatine himself in order to allow Darth Tyranus to carry out the Sith's true mission on Hitaka. With the Jedi's preoccupation on a meaningless mission, Darth Tyranus was able to act on Hitaka without being noticed.
